The Great Name Debate continues. Justin has decided he sill has issues with the names we'd previously decided on. UGH. Seriously? I'm so sick of this. I hate fighting about what we're going to name this child. My original list had 70 (SEVENTY!!!!) names on it! And he couldn't agree to a single one.I am D.O.N.E. -- done scouring the internet and reading baby name books cover to cover saying every name out loud and writing down the ones I like, only for him to veto every last one and not put any effort at all into finding a name. So I've decided I'm going to tell him he has to come up with a list of at least 70 names before the end of February, none of which can be on the top 100 names list for the last 10 years (I despise popular and overused names). And if he just doesn't do it (I bet you $10 he doesn't) or cannot come up with any names I like too, he's totally SOL and I'll be naming the baby what I want to.
And no one gets to know what we've chosen until the birth certificate application has been signed and the name can't be changed. The baby, until further notice, will be known as only Monkey. I'm done with this back and forth and round and round and looking like an indecisive moron.
We watched the infamous video of a birth in Lamaze class last night...and EEEK! I'm not so sure I can do this. Have you SEEN the size of a baby's head? I know it MUST be doable. Women do it every day. And even sign on for multiple rounds. Both my mother and grandmother did it 5 times. But now I am terrified. I wish I'd left the room. I'd rather live in blissful ignorance for the next 12 weeks. And I can tell you right now, they better give me a large sheet. I don't want to see anything below my navel. In fact if they could just knock me out and wake me up when they are ready to put a clean and tightly swaddled baby into my arms, that would just be super. It's back to the Dr. on Monday for my GTT (Glucose Tolerence Test). I'm nervous. But I'm just going to go in with the assumption I will fail and handle the dietary restrictions as best I can for the next 11 weeks. That way I can only be pleasantly surprised if I pass.
And that's all for now. I am really looking forward to a weekend of nothingness. And my sister comes home for a week on Sunday! YAY!
