What a weekend...

And it just started. Justin was supposed to finally go to MEPS tomorrow. Thursday he complained of a sore throat and cough. I could hear it in his chest so I forced him to take some Mucinex. Yesterday he said his throat was worse. So we got him more OTC meds. The cough seemed the same to me though so I thought it was just a cold.
At 3am this morning he woke me up wheezing and complaining of shortness of breath. I could HEAR fluid bubbling in his lungs when he breathed. SCARY! Then he started coughing up brown gunk.
I called my mom and she said to have him stick his face in the humidifier and put a towel over his head. That seemed to help his breathing. When I couldn't hear the bubbling anymore we went back to sleep with a plan to get up first thing and go to urgent care.
Well he woke up nauseated and feverish (in addition to all the other symptoms). I checked him into urgent care and called my mom to come sit with him and take him home so I could get away from all the sick people.
Turns out he has bronchitis, walking pneumonia, and probably a sinus infection. I am just astounded that it only took 2 days to progress from a sore throat to two serious respiratory issues!
So not only have I been exposed, but I'm 5 weeks from my due date! If, God forbid, I went into labor I would be doing it without my husband and he wouldn't even be able to see our baby until he was better. And did I mention I'm starting to get a raspy throat? I'm calling the on call Dr. after work to see if there is anything I can do/take to prevent getting sick.
And Justin obviously can't go to MEPS so sick. So here we go again on rescheduling that. And the closer it gets to my due date the more nervous I get that he will miss the birth, but I still feel like it's more important for him to go and get this done. UGH. What is with life being so inconvenient lately? I just need to know if this is going to work out or not. I hate being in such limbo!
I guess it's a blessing that Monkey is still transverse. At least we know she's not getting out on her own without some major spinning.
Speaking of Monkey, she's currently got the hiccups and is kicking me in the ribs constantly. Fun.
